Help Beat the Odds Scholars Address a National Conference on Trauma Informed Practices

After receiving 2019 Beat the Odds scholarships last November, graduating Roosevelt High School seniors, Justice English, Johana Amani, and Jeanette Mmunga, partnered with their teacher, S. Renee Mitchell, to form I Am M.O.R.E. (Making Other Resiliency Experiences). The group supports students who have experienced trauma, and uniquely places youth front and center in the growing national conversation about trauma-informed practices.

I Am M.O.R.E. is invited to attend a national conference on trauma-informed practices in Philadelphia, and you can help them get there and back! The group is raising money for the 6-day journey, and we hope you join the Stand for Children family in supporting them.
